Upcoming Research Study: Evaluating the Impact of VR in Enhancing Patient Care and Understanding
In a collaboration, VR Medical Solutions is partnering with the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University on an innovative research study aimed at understanding the transformative power of virtual reality (VR) in healthcare.
This research study will focus on evaluating the effectiveness of our VR projects in achieving key goals - reducing patient anxiety, clarifying the chemotherapy process, and addressing common misconceptions about chemotherapy treatments for patients and caregivers.
One of the unique aspects of this study is the exploration of VR's role in information retention. Traditional approaches to patient education often involve pamphlets or verbal explanations, methods that can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or forgotten details. We are testing a revolutionary new approach, using VR to provide a tour of the medical equipment. This study will compare the efficacy of this immersive, interactive VR tour to that of the common pamphlet approach.
