Star Gazing

Star Gazing is an innovative, interactive virtual reality project designed to help patients relax, feel in control, and reduce anxiety.

Star Gazing is an innovative, interactive virtual reality project designed to help patients relax, feel in control, and reduce anxiety. This immersive experience combines the power of audio-guided meditation with captivating visuals, creating a personalized and soothing environment for patients.

During the Star Gazing experience, patients will be guided through a calming meditation that prompts them to envision an animal of their choice. As the patient focuses on this animal, the virtual reality environment will transform, revealing the chosen animal in the form of a star constellation. This unique combination of guided meditation and immersive visuals encourages patients to feel more connected to their inner thoughts and emotions, fostering a sense of control and relaxation.

The science behind Star Gazing is grounded in research that demonstrates the effectiveness of meditation and mindfulness practices in reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation (1). Additionally, immersive virtual reality environments have been shown to have a positive impact on mood and stress levels (2). By combining these two elements, Star Gazing offers a powerful and evidence-based approach to improving patient well-being.
